Leadership & Teaching

Leadership, Teaching & Mentorship

A leader's job is simple: build the room, hand over the microphone, and let talent grow.

2023–present

Women and Energy Association — Non-Profit

Volunteer → Executive Assistant → WEDL Program Director → Project Manager Three years of growth alongside the association itself, with the trust of HH Princess Mashael AlShalan (Chairperson) and Dr. Abeer AlOlayan (CEO). My role has been strategic: planning initiatives and programs, handing them to the team, and following through on execution — stepping into direct execution myself on flagship projects like WEDL. What follows are highlights of my work in Women & Energy.

Women in Energy Diplomacy Leadership Program (WEDL)

Program Director — Women & Energy Association | 2025–2026

I direct WEDL, the Women & Energy Association's flagship program and the first of its kind preparing Saudi women to represent the Kingdom in global energy diplomacy. Across two cohorts, my work has spanned the program end to end — participant selection, curriculum and partner coordination, and the international phases.

  • Cohort I (2025) — 15 leaders: an executive foundation phase in Riyadh with KAPSARC, the International Energy Forum, and the Ministry of Energy — followed by an immersion phase in Washington, D.C. with engagements at the U.S. Department of Energy, the Atlantic Council, and the Institute of World Politics
  • Cohort II (2026) — 21 leaders: expanded to Vienna, with programs hosted by OPEC — including a meeting with Secretary General H.E. Haitham Al Ghais — the OPEC Fund, the IAEA, UNIDO, SEforALL, OMV, and Austrian government institutions
  • "In every room, our leaders did not sit as observers."

25th World Petroleum Congress — Riyadh 2026

Women in Energy Track Lead | October 2026

As Women in Energy Track Lead for the 25th World Petroleum Congress in Riyadh, I shape how women's leadership is represented at one of the world's largest energy gatherings. I designed the concept for the Women in Industry Pavilion within the ImpACT Energy Programme — "The Power Within: Women Illuminating Energy Futures" — a full visitor experience with interactive zones and expert panels — and I lead speaker curation and invitations for the Synergy Pavilion's Women in Energy track.

COP16 — United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification

Participation Coordinator — Women & Energy Association | December 2024

I coordinated the Association's participation at COP16 in Riyadh, in the Green Zone session "Land, Water, and Energy: The Role of Women," delivered in collaboration with AEON Collective on Governance Day — spotlighting women's role in the governance of land, water, and energy under the Rio Conventions.

Fireside Dialogue with Catherine MacGregor, CEO of ENGIE

Organizer — Ministry of Energy × Women & Energy Association

I arranged a fireside dialogue featuring Catherine MacGregor, CEO of ENGIE, co-hosted by the Ministry of Energy and the Women & Energy Association — an executive conversation on leadership, breaking barriers, and mentorship, moderated by the Association's CEO with opening remarks by its Chairwoman.

Women & Energy Pitch — Misk Incubator (2023)

Founding work & pitch — Executive Committee Member

Where it all began: months inside the Misk incubator on the association's founding journey, from idea to institution — name, vision, mission, key programs, and beneficiary segments (80+ volunteer hours on the foundational framework), plus the two-year strategic roadmap. I pitched the Women and Energy Association at the Misk incubator — delivering the winning 3-minute pitch on the same day as a CS final exam — securing the 450,000 SAR founding grant.
